If your in the mood for authentic Thai cuisine!!! Look no further than Siam Cuisine in the heart of beautiful Wilton Manors. The food was delicious and the service was exceptionally confusing with two waiters, other than that it was great

Nasty, rude and disgusting. I ordered basil chicken that was absolutely un-edible; it was like they took whatever they had in the kitchen, kind of stir fried it up, drenched it in nasty sauce, then through a giant handful of raw, chopped garlic on top. When I tried to change if for something else, they said, "No, that's how we cook it". When I asked the owner to try it, he responded, "I don't eat that stuff". They were just, rude, indifferent and unconcerned. Just avoid the place.... it's hard to believe but even Galanga down the street is a better choice! But, if you have to go, it looks like they're on Groupon almost every day, so save a few bucks - and it still won't be worth it!

I came to Siam Cuisine with several co-workers for lunch today. My boss has been several times before and he really loves the Tom Kha Gai soup and the beef panang. Nearly everyone at the table ordered the Panang beef (5 out of 8). One person ordered the cashew chicken and the other ordered shrimp Pad Thai. I wasn't in the mood for any of the recommendations so I ordered the DUI noodles with chicken. I would normally order Pad Thai at a Thai restaurant (boring, I know), but I actually had Pad Thai for dinner last night, so I didn't want to get it twice in a row. I was pleasantly surprised when they brought out side salads after they took our orders. The salads had a delightful peanut dressing which I enjoyed way more than the usual ginger dressing. The food took a little while to come out. It felt like forever, but maybe that was because I was starving. Once the food did come, I dug in. I thought the DUI noodles were good. Since I had never had them before, I let one of my co-workers try it to tell me if it tasted like Drunken noodles that she has had in the past. She said that it didn't, and that she has had much better. None of my co-workers, except for my boss, enjoyed the Panang Beef- they all said that they have had better. Those that ordered the shrimp Pad Thai and the cashew chicken enjoyed their meals. I had a slight issue with my DUI noodles. The waiter asked me if I wanted them hot or mild. I asked him how hot hot was and he said like a 3. A 3 sounded wimpy enough for me so I went ahead and ordered hot. Well 3 in his book actually equals 7-8 in my book. My lips were still burning for over 20 minutes after I left the restaurant. I thought the food was good, but I thought the spice could've been turned down a notch. Overall it was an alright dining experience. The service was good- our waiter was attentive and nice, the ambiance was weird though. The decorations were very traditional, but yet they were playing 80s and 90s hair band ballads in the background. I was also disappointed that there was no sushi on the lunch menu.

Appetizingly plated dishes. My usual go-to is Pad Thai (combination chicken and shrimp). Nothing spectacular taste-wise, but decent. I must experiment and try some of the other menu choices. Close parking, consistently prompt service which makes for a quick in and out lunch option.

NO sushi like the online and paper menu still say. The thai food here is BOMB. We got the pad thai and green curry and they were super delicious and the perfect amount of spice. If I lived in FTL this would be a regular spot for me. We came at the perfect time of year because the seasonal dish of real Thai mango and sweet coconut rice was on the menu! No doubt the best mango I have ever had in my whole life it was so ripe, sweet, and not fibrous like mangoes in the US.

I have to say that the food here is really pretty horrible. It's never consistent in that it can be bad or it can be really, really bad. Tonight I had the Tom Yum soup and it was completely watered down and had 3 button mushrooms and some boiled chicken in it. That's it. I had the Mee Krob (because no place else around here serves it) and it tasted stale (I don't even know how that could happen) and the sweet "sauce" mixture that holds it all together was kinda clumped together in the middle of this horrible, dry mass. Nasty. I also had the Panang Curry with Chicken and it literally had one piece of red pepper, one piece of green pepper, one piece of zucchini, and some dried out chicken pieces. The only reason I eat her at all is because you can get a table here on a Saturday night with no wait or problem. Of course you can... The food is horrible and no one wants to eat here. It used to be really good like 10 years ago. What happened? And it doesn't help that the place is really, really dark and that they play an actual radio station (with commercials) that plays Air Supply and REO Speed Wagon. This place needs to close and make room for another Thai/Sushi restaurant... because we don't already have like 6 of them in a 4 block radius in Wilton Manors.

I was disappointed. A friend raved about this place so I met him there for an early dinner last Wednesday. The food was bland to me and oily. I did not eat my main dish at all. I paid for it, took it home as a doggie bag and that was the end of it!

Had a bizarre experience here yesterday evening. We had come here after being told that this place was great and something of a Fort Lauderdale institution. We had looked online and according to their website they serve Thai food and Sushi, but when we asked to see their Sushi menu they said they didn't do sushi! Then we could see that their signage had been altered to remove all mention of sushi. Even their sign out front had been painted over but the words sushi we're still visible...but the lady server in the restaurant seemed stunned that their website said they had ever served sushi. We asked if there was another Siam Cuisine but she just looked at us as if we were nuts!...I ordered Tom Yum Goong "Thai hot" and my fiance ordered Tom Kha Gai chicken, "hot, but not Thai hot". What arrived was Tom Yum Chicken Thai hot, and Tom Yum Goong mild...there was only one other person in the restaurant so they weren't exactly busy...not impressed that they couldn't even get our orders right...they replaced my fiance's soup and brought me a bunch of chilis to spice up my Tom Yum. In the end it was ok but they seemed confused. The satay chicken was ok, as was the seabass in ginger sauce. All in all it was ok, not great, not spectacular, just ok. We left feeling underwhelmed and wishing we'd gone somewhere else. The decor is tired and the 80s music playing in the background matched the overall feeling like they'd been doing the same old thing for the past 35 years...I dont know about this place being an institution, more than being in need of institutionalizing! We won't be coming back in a hurry!!

This is the second time I've ordered Thai hot and haven't gotten a single speck of spice on my food. Literally nothing.

Siam Cuisine is your less expensive option for Thai food in Wilton Manors (the other place being Galanga). Their service is fast & friendly for the most part, my water glass is never empty & I'm like a bottomless pit with drinking water at dinner. They're always on top of it, which I really like. The menu is extensive but expected for a Thai/sushi place. You have your option of several delicious sounding sushi & sashimi, of which I've had the Sakesu (yum) and Rainbow Roll (also yum, but quite small for a roll). Then you have various chicken, pork, beef & seafood Thai options, of which I've had the Chicken Panang (delish!) and the Wild Curry Chicken (great taste, but crazy spicy). Other folks in my party have had the Garlic & Pepper Beef (okay). You also have the option of traditional Pad Thai or other types of noodles & fried rice (good!). Some advice, pay attention to the stars indicating the spice amount in the food. Two stars is the highest & you won't be able to feel your lips after the meal. Even for someone who generally likes spicy food like myself, this is REALLY spicy. As I briefly mentioned before, the food is fresh, tasty & authentic, but I think the portions are smaller than what I'm used to at other Thai places. And I know this is the cheaper option, but it still seems expensive to me (their sushi in particular), especially considering portion size. Maybe I'm spoiled by places like Thai House II in Aventura. I'll be back though, I do think it's the best Thai place around these parts.

Very good Thai food, very consistent although the last time I was here it was mediocre. The venue is kinda loud after the renovations they did a few years ago

Been going here since the early 80's... best Thai food... you must try the deep fried squid with basil leaves... have been bringing friends here, especially out of town friends, for many years and they always bring it up in conversation... a must try!

This Thai food is way sub par. Everything I ordered from the Tom Yum Gai to the Chicken Pad Thai was not good. The soup is particular tasted terrible. The Pad Thai was not completely bad but bad enough. I even decided to try some decidedly not Thai fare like sweet and sour pork and beef and broccoli and they were also not very good. Most of the food was 'tasty' given how much sugar and salt were added, but it had no subtly, no soul. Given that most of the dishes were in the $14-$15 range I expected more. The service was friendly and prompt. Next time I have a craving for Thai I'm headed to Tee Jay's.

Lots of Thai/sushi choices in Wilton Manors these days. But Siam remains and is still pretty good and reliable food, with friendly service. The Tom Kha Gai soup was my started. Good flavor, but I wouldn't mind a bit more of a spicy kick to it. I had steamed dumplings as well for my entree as I wasn't all that hungry. For the value, Siam is still top notch on Wilton Drive.

I've been to Siam Cuisine a half-dozen times over the past couple of years and have never had a bad meal here. The interior is quite beautiful with a lot of polished wood finishes, tables and chairs, and de riguere tropical fish tank. A decent-sized bar is tucked towards the rear, and plenty of tables out forward. The wait staff has always been very friendly and attentive. (There's a particular waiter who always has that "I vant to be alone" air about him, which we are always amused by. Although, it could simply be that he doesn't speak fluent English.) Food has never been anything less than very good: fresh produce, lots of spices, and well-cooked. A plus for me is that they know how to make a perfect prik nam pla (fish sauce/lime juice/Thai chilis) sauce! I'm giving Siam Cuisine 5-stars for their consistency, welcoming staff, and authentic Thai food! You'll never leave hungry...! :D

I've been a couple of times and the food has been consistently good. The service is friendly without being over-baring and they remembered us! Tried the Pai Thai with fresh bean sprouts instead of peanut for a healthy crunch. The wine selection is decent. Nice area location as well.

We have been going here for about 12 years. Its a great Thai restaurant in the middle of the gayborhood. The serviice is super fast and friendly, we never have to ask for refills of anything......they serve everything quickly and hot and its hard to find anything negative ti say.....great people watching also.......we spent $41 before tip for 2 and as usual had lunchthe next day with our leftovers.

We hadn't been to Siam in a couple of years; it was always the gold standard as far as Thai cuisine was concerned. We took another couple there yesterday - and I took some time to read Yelp reviews before we went. I was a little worried in that some of the reviews were not so good. Well, thankfully, the four of us found Siam to be just as wonderful as ever. Superb, excellent food. We four had: Crispy salmon with curry sauce, pad thai w/ tofu, soft shell crab w/ basil sauce, and crispy scallops as our entrees - all were excellent. The soft shell crab was in an excellent brown basil sauce with so many crunchy vegetables; brown rice was excellent. All of us had the thai green salad w/ peanut dressing; that salad was just right - peanut dressing not too thick, very tasty, and vegetables fresh - red ripe tomatoes, fresh lettuce, etc. I love the atmosphere at Siam and the owner/manager Patty made sure everything was to our liking. The dark wood interior seems welcoming and last night it was fairly quiet. Oh - and the portions (esp. pad thai) were huge! Sorry to read that others have had less favorable experiences. . . In Wilton Manors, of course parking can be a problem - or rather, the price per hour for metered parking can be a bit high, ie it takes alot of quarters for a 2 hour dinner. . .but we found street parking, as we have in the past. Siam has parking behind the restaurant, and in a pinch, the city lot is just a block away to the west, and there's a city lot on the corner of Wilton, across from the Dairy Queen. We made reservations - but it wasn't crowded (it's June already).

Not Thai food at all, hardly even close. It didn't taste bad but just isn't what it's suppised to be. I had Tom Yum, Tom Kha, and Larb Tofu, all disappointing. The service was fine and the restaurant is nice. I did carry out and my order was right and ready quickly.

We ordered dumplings as appetizers and shrimp with chili garlic paste and peanuts......very tasty. Friends ordered chicken curry, also good. Friendly and prompt service. Look for their 20% cash discount coupon online.

I got takeout from here, and maybe I'm just spoiled from having lived in CA, but this was the worst Thai food I've ever had. They get a second star only for being prompt and friendly. The Pad See Iw was made with some weird pasta-looking thin noodles instead of the wide rice noodles, the broccoli was plain grocery-store broccoli instead of Chinese broccoli, the sauce was super weak and flavorless, and it wasn't even a little spicy. Even the hot sauce I ordered on the side wasn't spicy. WTF? And it was $16! Go to any hole-in-the-wall Thai place in San Diego or L.A., and the food might be a little too greasy, but it'll at least be flavorful, well-spiced, and WAY cheaper. I almost debated whether to even keep the portion that I didn't eat, before remembering that I need to grocery shop, and now I'm actively disappointed that my lunch is going to suck tomorrow. Seriously, don't bother.

The first time here I thought that becaue I hit it at a house full packed time the rushed food just didn't turn out to be all that good. The second time, I was practically the only one there, but the food still wasn't that great. So, now by the third time with yet another "so - so" food experience, I've concluded Siam Cuisine to be a restaurant specializing in rather mediocre, three star at best, Thai food but at four star prices. Also as far as the sushi part of their cuisine goes, it represents an apparent over challenge of their culinary skills. The staff is polite, friendly and helpful but in an area where Asian restaurants, particularly the Thai food establishments are highly competitive, Siam Cuisine just doesn't hold up against the rest. I'd go three stars, the food is in fact ok, but figuring in the price for a merely ok meal I can only go two stars because yes, there are number of places nearby serving better for less. I might be asked, given those conditions, how does it survive? The answer is location. It's located at the far south end of the "drag", as in Wilton Manors Drive, the predominately gay drag of a city well known to have the highest concentration of gay people per capita in the world and generally appears to get an overflow from a popular next door gay bar/restaurant (Tropics) as well as a number of other nearby predominantly gay establishments. Should you go to Siam Cuisine beware of the Wilton Manors parking problems. They can be a real pain and parking meters as well as parking restriction are strictly enforced during prime time evening hours as well as late into the night with infraction tickets starting off at $25/shot, supposedly necessary to support a new city hall located on the north side of Siam Cuisine, the building of which eradicated what were 98 prime conveniently located parking spaces.

Wanting to try something different than where we typically go, we decided on Siam Cuisine. We had been there before, although it had been many months. I personally was never a fan of their food but my fiance suggested them so I went along with it. We were both disappointed. The wonton soup was bland and ultra watered down. We both had a curry dish and honestly, the panang curry and the massaman curry ended up tasting VERY similar. I'm sure they use the same base and many of the same ingredients. In my opinion the curries tasted very processed and straight out of a jar. I didn't sense any authenticity or fresh herbs. I literally picked out my chicken because it tasted like it was just boiled in water. It was rubbery and had zero flavor. We hardly ate and no one noticed or cared. We didn't even take home leftovers. I am a huge Thai food fan and this is a place that ranks on the bottom of my local Thai restaurant list. The service pretty much sucked too. We will never go there again. What a waste of money.

Best thai in town! Great location, friendly staff, clean cool restaurant, great soups. They can even make a good cocktail.

Went there last night for take out. Ordered chicken masuman curry and shrimp green curry. Both were delicious. But a little expensive. When I walked in and when I left, the whole staff were so friendly. All smiles. I guess that's why they call the Thai people the smiling people.

I have been going to Siam Cuisine for over 10 years and it has had growing pains now and again. The newer staff have been there for 2+ years and some have been there since I started going. I have looked at the Sushi bar now and again but the pricing for the sushi is well beyond what you can get high quality sushi for in SFL so I pass. The reason I go is for the red chicken curry. It's simple, yes it is a bit more than what you would pay in areas with a larger Thai community, but in SFL there is not such a large group to pull "good" cooks from. The Thai curry is a nice blend of aromatic spices, flavorings, and heat (if you so desire) They are very good to ask if you want the curry hot or mild. For most tastes the mild is sufficient to get a little warm (or like my spouse, he will start sweating profusely with the normal hot version, I get a little uncomfortable, but it keeps me from over-eating). If you are more inclined to like the very hottest of peppers then by all means ask for the hot version. It won't be a flame thrower, but it doesn't step outside of what Thai curry should taste like. I tend to shy away from the "non traditional" dishes simply because I want a particular taste and this delivers. I used to travel coast to coast and only had 1 Thai curry that came close to Siam Cuisine (funny but it was in Tampa) No one else came close. Seating is a small area (the restaurant was a white castle walk up in the 70's) They can accommodate a small group of 8 to 10, but beyond that it's really not feasible. Restaurant décor is fashioned after an old style tea house with all finished wood inside and dim lighting. Not the place for children or infants, this is an adult restaurant (they will seat well behaved children but there is no special menu or accommodations for them) Parking can be a bit tricky, but there is a city parking (pay to park via meter-box) a 1.5 blocks up Wilton Drive that normally has plenty of room. Generally not a wait to be seated if you arrive prior to 7:00pm after 7:00pm and the night of the week you may have a wait or may be seated right away. Community events dictate this anomaly. Only open for lunch during the week weekends they don't open till 5pm.

Siam Cuisine is best described with an ambivalent shoulder shrug. The waiters were attentive and friendly. I never had to ask for a refill and the food was served fast. As far as the food goes, it was tasty but average. The most memorable part of the dishes at the table was the amount of bamboo shoots in the curry. Somebody else reviewing described the place best: average Thai food at exceptional Thai food prices.

Great location and that's about all it has going for it. Not impressed by food or ambiance.

  • John F.

4 stars based strictly on the fact that "spicy" means SPICY. This is right between a 3 and 4 stars. Portions are large, food was quick and hot- literally 10 minutes for pick up. Spicy Thai salad was good and truly Thai spicy. Noodles were ok in the spicy Thai noodle dish. Parking seems like it could be a bit of pain on a busy night.

Sadly Siam cuisine has lost it's luster. I have been a regular guest at Siam Cusine for 13 years. A year or so I noticed that sometimes meals were off and did not go often. Last night I went back to try it out again. It was embarrassing I sent appetizer if crispy tuna roll back. So over cooked that tuna and salmon were dried like jerky. Both of ordered dinner of different scallop dishes and were so over cooked that it required a sharp knife and again inedible. Felt so bad I did not return the dish. Come on....scallops are not that hard to cook and any chef would know they were overcooked at first glance. But spoke with owner. I cannot go back when there are so many places that offer Thai at good price with an understanding to not over cook. Basic cooking 101. Something had changed and I am sad. What was always a packed place was nearly empty and I see why now.

  • Brian P.

Continuing a theme of mediocre Asian cuisine in Florida, Siam delivers exactly this much and nothing more. Service was perfectly adequate as was the ambiance. I wasn't terribly impressed with the prices. I'd go back if asked, but would prefer to find an alternative venue if given the option... pretty much the definition of A-OK.

Nothing to be excited about, the food was eh ok. Received a good soup although I am pretty sure it wasn't what I had ordered, The Spicy Octopus Salad was mediocre. Not worth the price. Entree tasted ok, Beef with Red Curry. The major observation was it looked like Vomit on the plate. Definitely could be plated with more thought. Plus, for the price I thought the main ingredient, beef was missing in action. Service was poor. The Queen was more interested in Texting on his cell phone than taking care of a customer. Restaurant policy should ban the use of cell phones during the employee's shift. 45 bucks which was too much to spend on a dinner which was meh. PUT THE CELL PHONE DOWN!! Just for the love of God, PUT THE CELL PHONE DOWN!

Siam Cuisine is mediocre at best. I've been here 3 times in the past year, most recently 3 weeks ago. The food is average, the serving size is average, and the service is pretty good. However, the prices are ridiculously high. This place is nothing fancy at all, but because they are in the middle of the "gay ghetto" they think they can charge these prices. Spend your money elsewhere at a much better Thai restaurant like Lemongrass on Federal or Siam House on 17th street.

Located right on the main strip in the heart of Wilton Manors, Siam Cuisine looks fairly timid from the outside, but walking inside is like stepping into another world. The interior decorations are unique, and I adored the wooden beams surrounded by mirrors. It definitely added complexity to the inside of the restaurant. My co-worker used to be a regular at the restaurant years before, and was surprised when our waitress still remembered her even though it was maybe 6+ month since she last stopped in. One word to describe the food: delicious. The lunch special is beyond reasonable ($7.95 for Panang Curry). It was a perfection portion (meaning I devoured all of it). Just be warned, although most Thai restaurants may ask for the level of spiciness you want, Siam Cuisine didn't. (Supposedly that's a sign of authentic cuisine - or so I was told) Thankfully I like spicy food. Given the swift speed at which our food came out, I would definitely go out of my way to dine at Siam Cuisine again for a workday lunch.

I was happy to find a menu full of both sushi and thai food when I sat down at Siam Cuisine. Whenever I go into restaurants like this, I always have to make multiple decisions, the first being do I want sushi or thai food? This takes a lonnnng time and after much deliberation, I decided I was in more of a hot entree indulgence, rather than my go-to spicy tuna roll. The next decision then is do I want something like curry? Pad Thai? Sweet and sour chicken? The opportunities are endless! What is great about this place is that they have lots of seafood options too, with a thai twist! I couldn't resist just going with the always safe Pad Thai. It was tasty and hit the spot. The waitstaff wasn't too attentive but sufficed. One of my favorite parts of the evening was when they walked out with a gong, singing Happy Birthday. I would definitely recommend this place if you're around the area. And say it's your birthday, you're certain to be entertained.

I used to enjoy coming here over the years with friends and on dates. This weekend we decided to go here because we couldn't find parking near tee jays. Everything started out ok, service was spotty. I got my soup and no sake while my date got wine no soup. Very uncoordinated. Food was fairly good until my date found a healthy ROACH in her food. She immediately got up and walked out. I flagged the first server I found and explained what we found and were not staying. I left to meet my date outside when we were chased by our server and confronted with an angry man who wanted US to pay for our soup n drinks. Ummmm, no! The audacity to want my money after tramatizing my date. No, we will never be back. Rude and unsympathetic staff. A BUG! GROSS. HELLO! A BUG!

I am an occasional visitor to Fort Lauderdale and Wilton Manors, and have eaten at least a half dozen times at this restaurant over a period of perhaps eight years. I have found the food consistently excellent--I would regard it as one of the best Thai restaurants in the US, and I am comparing it to ones in San Francisco and Los Angeles, places that logically lead the pack in this area. I have never had any problem with the service--usually the waiters are young men from Thailand, attractive and friendly. This should be a must for people visiting the area.

The operative word here is FRESH. The staff is very friendly. The dining room is comfortable. The parking is a bit nightmarish on weekends. I always pay close attention to the daily specials and the waiters are always eager to recommend dishes. Their seasoning is bright, their ingredients always taste fresh. Their fish, shell fish are always cooked to the point where they are still juicy and tender and the vegetables are cooked to remain snappy. That always impresses me. I've had the best glazed sea bass ever (it's not a regular dish and I don't think it's particularly Siamese but who's keeping score?) and their curry mixes are rich and refreshing. The duck and chicken dish is great in winter. I've had all their soups and they are all good. I'm trying to stay away from coconut milk, so I've been ordering the Tom Yums exclusively. Their Pork Panang is delicious and all their meat with vegetables dishes are great. Their Pad Thai is a bit too sweet but if you order it spicy hot, the sweetness really works. In my opinion, this is the best Thai restaurant in Fort Lauderdale...not that I've been to all of them, but I've been to a few,

I am sorry to say that the quality of both the service and food has drropped significantly. Perhaps this is due to the competition from two other, more popular Thai restaurants in Wilton Manors. We visited Siam Cusine last light and were very dissapointed from start to finish. There were only two to three other tables at 8:30 (not a good sign). The waiter totally got our orders wrong (only three of us.) Portion sizes of the entrees were extremely small and after paying $14.95 for an order of red curry chicken, I was charged $1 for an extra scoop of rice. When we commented to the manager about the service and food, we were met with total ambivalence. If things don't change here, this place will be closed by the end of the year. There are simply too many, better Thai restaurants in Broward County.

Having been to Bangkok several times , i can say the interior is authentic. We went on a sunday night when the place was deserted.I thought that the prices were higher than we had seen in NYC for thai food.I found the food decent , although i only had PadThai. When my partner asked for the remainer of his dinner to go , the waiter walked by and dropped a takeout container on the table for him to fill himself.Inexcusable! One STAR AND NEVER TO RETURN!

I come here on a fairly regular basis. Consistently GOOD Thai. I've never left thinking, 'I wish I went somewhere else.' I come here with friends or out of town guests, too. They have the best Thai in town, hands down. Their curries are especially good. I usually stop myself from licking the plate... *usually. Oh, they have real Thai beer, too. Gotta love it! *in fact, they have such a solid menu that they've never needed to advertise; everyone returns with friends in tow.

My friend took me to this restaurant because he knows i love Thai food. From outside it's looks hole in the wall, they tried to cover it up with plants and things to make it look more attractive. The inside was ok but most Thai places are nice inside. We got there around 7:30 and there were only two other tables. I knew something is not right bc gay people love Thai food and this is located in the heart of gay neighborhood. The waitress we had was very nice and friendly. She gave us a menu and holy s... I never paid this kinda money in Thai places in my life. I was hoping the food is good that's why they charging what they charge. We ordered chicken green curry ($15)and their special, shrimp with pumpkin ($20). Seriously, I have never paid $15 for a curry. When we got the food, green curry is just green curry. Nothing special. To me, curries taste same from one restaurant to other. I've been to cheap Thai places in San Fran to expensive Thai places in Atlanta but it's all about the same. They don't even serve rice in a typical Thai rice pot, they just give u a scoop in a plate. Very disappointed. The shrimp with pumpkin was good but for $20 with about 7 shrimps? They didn't even put the shrimps in the bowl of pumpkin. It's cut up pumpkin with a few shrimp. Come on if u are charging this kind of money on so so food at least be inventive. When we were there til 9pm, we are the only one left in the whole restaurant. I wonder why? Hmmm...maybe the price have something to do with it? I won't be going back. There are too many other options.

My family and I have been coming here for at least 20 years. The service is always very attentive and make you feel at home. They definitely recognize and appreciate their customers. I have yet to try a better Tom Kha Gai soup, since their ingredients are superb...they use the special button mushrooms and its not overly "coconutty". I now live in New York City and have tried dozens of raved-about places here, but Siam cuisine stands above them all...

Siam Cuisine, on the South side of Wilton Manors, is one of Greater Ft.Lauderdale's best Thai restaurants (pretty much on par with Galanga, depending on what you order.) The food is usually fresh and the menu offers a good variety; from Thai to Sushi to fusion. Reservations are recommended if you're going on a weekend night. The restaurant expanded in 2005, but kept it's rustic Thai charm, reflected in the hand carved statues, solid wood paneling, multiple Buddahs, and trendy wall-hangings. The staff is usually friendly and helpful. Food: A (HINT: if you're new to Thai cuisine, try the "Pad Thai". You can usually judge the quality of a Thai restaurant by how good the "Pad Thai" tastes.) Price: A- ( a decent value for the quality) Service: B (a bit slow sometimes but usually helpful) Atmosphere: A- ( trendy and cozy) Front End: A- (the register is awkwardly placed and it's hard to know which is best, do I pay my waiter or do I go to the register? --- HINT: Going to the register is faster.) Location: A (2.1 miles from downtown Ft. Lauderdale) Valet parking: NA (small on-premises lot but a very short walk to the old and new municipal lots of Wilton Manors.) Overall: A-

Eaten here twice. High quality food, but think the price is a tad high. Will go back though.

There are several Thai places in South Florida, but Siam Cuisine is consistently the best. Even my 60+ parents really like it, and they're not much for Asian cuisine as a rule. I love coming here with my school-age daughter. Although a full entree is much too big for her, a set of about 4 appetizers are perfect. She gets to pick the flavors she enjoys most and there's no waste or doggy-bagging. Siam Cuisine is not exactly "kid-friendly" per se. For example, there's no "kids menu." As well, it's a Real Restaurant(tm) so kids and their parents need to behave and be respectful of the other patrons. Lastly, Siam Cuisine is located in Wilton Manors, which is a largely gay neighborhood. If you need your cuisine to align with your red-state politics (or, you simply don't want to see men act emotionally intimate with each other in public), then go elsewhere (please!). For myself, I don't mind my daughter seeing men holding hands or hugging or whatnot because it gives us opps to discuss, among other things. We usually come early (before 7pm) so we've never had a parking issue or had to wait for a table, even on weekends. After 7pm, when it starts getting busy, it does get a bit noisy. Not a problem, really, but if you intend on having intimate conversations with your dinner partner, you should probably get everything to go and dine in the park or something. Like another poster, service can be a little slow, especially when taking care of the check. But I think that's just a matter of perception. It's nice not to be pushed out the door in favor of table turnover, for a change. Indeed, the only time I get antsy to leave is when I feel I'm being ignored, and I've never felt like that at Siam Cuisine. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality. Actually, the prices are pretty typical of most establishments that go beyond simple take-out. If you want frugal Thai, go home and make your own (it's not hard). If on the other hand you want great Thai in a beautiful environment, then Siam Cuisine is the place.

The pad thai here is out of this world. Seriously, it's the best that I've had comparing it to restaurants in four major cities. To the person that complained here about having to fill their own to go container I say, "gimme a break, princess."

Don't spend your entire paycheck at Galanga when you can come here and get great food. I have been a customer for years and have never had a bad dish. I think their panang curry is the best in the city. Also, for something magical, try their short ribs in massaman curry.

I went there for the first time today, and ordered the lump crab meat in red curry. I liked it, although the curry was slightly (very slightly) salty. From what I've heard, the seafood here is usually good. I ordered the crab because you don't get that at many other Thai places. Siam Cuisine is somewhat on the expensive side for Thai Food. Most entrees were between $15 and $20. I usually pay around $10 to $15 for Thai.
